The best way to overcome a lack of motivation and the resulting inertia is to break a project down into small actions. This has been of tremendous value to me in all aspects of my life and martial arts training.

But this tactic does have a caveat. If we keep our actions TOO small, that feeling of overwhelm can actually become WORSE.
